I: Name:
The name of society: Gulf Radiological Society.
Hereinafter referred as the “society”.

Article
II: Goals:
The goals of society are to:
- Advance the fields of Diagnostic/interventional
Radiology in the Arabian Gulf Countries.
Improve quality of radiologic services to the
patients and communities.
- Encourage continuing Medical Education (CME)
for radiologists and allied professional fields.
- This is a Non-Profit Society.

Article
III: Code on Ethics
- Render radiologic service to people with full
respect for human dignity and in the best interest
of the patient.
- Members should strive continually to improve
their medical knowledge and skills.
- Members should be at all times be aware of
their limitations and be willing to seek consultations
in clinical situations where appropriate.
- The medical profession should safeguard the
public and itself against physicians deficient
in moral character or professional competence
by reporting to the appropriate body. Members
should deal honestly and fairly with patients
and colleagues.

Article
IV: Membership
1.Active membership:
An active member shall |
- Be a physician certified in Radiology or
one of its recognized branches by the
1. American Board of Radiology
2. Royal college of Physicians and surgeons
of Canada
3. Royal college of Radiology in England
4. Royal college of surgeons in Ireland
5. German board of Radiology.
6. Recognized French degrees such as DIS or
DES in Radiology
7. Local boards in Arabian Gulf countries such
as Saudi Board of Radiology
- Be of High Professional reputation.
- Have the right to be appointed to committees
and to hold office in the society.
- Be practicing in Arabian Gulf countries and
hold one of its nationalities.
- For non-G.C.C nationalities – to be
an active member, the candidate should be recommended
by his/her G.C.C country to the executive committee
for active membership approval

2. Members in Training
Members in training shall |
- Occupy a residency of fellowship in radiology
approved by bodies mentioned in article IV (1a)
of this section.
- Not have the right to vote or to hold office
in the society.
- Not required to pay dues.
- Have the right to be appointed to committees.
- Never have been a member of the chapter before.

3. Corresponding Members:
- Corresponding members shall be a physician
practicing Radiology on full time basis and
is not a citizen of Arabian Gulf countries.
- Not have the right to vote or to hold office
in the society.
- Have the right to be appointed to committees.

3. Honorary Members::
| An honorary member shall: |
- Be those who have made a special contribution
to the field of Radiology, or possess special
qualifications in fields associated with radiology,
but who cannot fulfill the qualifications for
regular membership.
- Not have the right to vote or to hold offices
in society.
